About The Position

Premier Residential and Assisted Living is a 38-bed Assisted Living and Residential Care community seeking a full-time cook. The position involves preparing quality meals, ensuring resident choice, and adhering to assigned menus. Additional duties include dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and other tasks assigned by the facility manager. If pursuing the full-time role, the cook will also function as a Dietary Aide. This role requires every other weekend and holiday availability.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of preparing meals in large quantities.
• Cooking: 1 year (Required).
• Experience in working in a nursing home.

Nice To Haves

• Possible 2nd shift hours.
• If interested in full-time position you will work as a Dietary Aide as well.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quality and eye-pleasing meals while giving residents choice and following assigned menus.
• Washing dishes.
• Cleaning the kitchen.
• Performing other duties as provided by the facility manager.
• Remaining prompt and positive with patients.
• Following Dietitian meal plans pertaining to each individual patient to ensure proper health.
• Assisting patients in eating.
• Keeping dining areas and kitchens clean and sanitary.
• Operating kitchen equipment as needed.
