About The Position

The Residence at Basking Ridge is hiring a Care Scheduler. This role is responsible for staff scheduling of the Proactively reviewing potential gaps within the department schedules and anticipating changes in staffing patterns and needs, based on acuity and occupancy. The scheduler is accountable for staffing to the budgeted hours of each department, replacing staff from call outs, vacations, and holidays, and collaborating with department heads to ensure staffing needs are met. The position also involves promoting the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living, actively participating in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members, and professionals, and performing all duties with a positive attitude. The scheduler will respond timely to staff questions, concerns, and requests in a professional and courteous manner, develop, manage, and maintain an ongoing schedule, and maintain and file schedules and related documents. They will post schedules in a timely manner, communicate regularly with each department head for transparency, type correspondence as needed, maintain the SharePoint communication forum, and attend required in-service training sessions and orientations. Flexibility of responsibilities and acceptance of delegated assignments are also expected.

Requirements

  • Must have either Administrative experience or CNA experience
  • Must have knowledge of basic computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • The ability to handle all questions, concerns, and requests in a pleasant and courteous manner, provide clerical support and represent the residence in a professional manner.
  • The ability to respond calmly to emergency situations is essential.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is essential.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Requires a minimum of one-year prior scheduling experience in a large healthcare environment.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs. and be able to carry objects.
  • Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
  • Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
  • Must use good body mechanics.
  • Must be able to type and use a computer.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint desired.
  • Typing or word processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain an ongoing schedule.
  • Maintain and file schedules and related documents, such as requests for PTO.
  • Post schedules in a timely manner by the designated due date.
  • Communicate regularly with each department head to ensure transparency with staffing schedule.
