Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)
• Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a nurse and 1 year of experience as an assistant to the immediate supervisor
• Good command of computer tools
• Knowledge of the person and family-centered approach
• Leadership, good communication, and teamwork are qualities that define you very well
• You do not have a criminal record (verification required upon hiring)
• Background check required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in gerontology or geriatrics (important asset)

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the living unit.
• Exercise with great autonomy the activities reserved for nurses as defined by law.
• Evaluate the physical and mental condition of the residents.
• Collaborate in the implementation, evaluation, and revision of the programming of services and clinical tools, as well as the quality of care.
• Collaborate in the orientation, identification of training needs, and performance appraisal of staff.
• Ensure, in the absence of your immediate supervisor, the continuity of certain administrative activities.
• Perform all other related tasks requested by their supervisor and related to their position.
