About The Position

The City of Garland Special Events department is looking for helpers to set up and break down special events. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long hours. The work schedule varies based on event timing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Moving 10 x 10 tents for special events.
• Setting up tables and chairs for events.
• Moving signage and temporary fencing.
• Other duties as assigned.
