About The Position

The Building Maintenance Department is seeking an Assistant Zone Manager to join their team. This role will assist the Zone Manager in daily operational activities, including hands-on supervision, maintenance scheduling, attending meetings, and ordering supplies. The position involves performing daily maintenance and repair activities for any major trade. Requirements

High school diploma or GED and five years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the operation, inspection, and maintenance of urban building systems.
Knowledge of intermediate computer operations and software, such as spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Practical oral and verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.
Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and exhibit excellent customer service.
Ability to interpret design drawings and plans.
Emphasized HVAC Experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Zone Manager in daily operational activities.
Provide hands-on supervision.
Schedule maintenance.

Perform daily maintenance and repair activities for any major trade.
Inspect facilities and make recommendations for maintenance.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance assignments.
Estimate the amount of time and material required to complete a project or assignment.
Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed.
Evaluate and interpret design drawings, plans, and blueprints.
Perform daily maintenance and repair activities in the area of specialty.
Train staff and supervise staff in the absence of the Zone Chief.
Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
