About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2027 season. The role involves instructing student athletes, developing strategies to improve team performance, and contributing to a positive school climate. The coach will work collaboratively with administration, staff, and other coaches to ensure student success and encourage participation in sports.

Requirements

Successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Background that includes a high level of wrestling knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills.
Able to communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.

Responsibilities

Relate to and instruct student athletes in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
Develop and use strategies to improve individual and team play.
