About The Position

Hemlock Public School District is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for the 2027 season. This position requires a candidate with successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school level, and a strong background in wrestling knowledge. The coach will be responsible for instructing student athletes, developing strategies to improve team performance, and fostering student participation in the sport. The role involves working collaboratively with other coaches, administration, and staff to ensure student success and a positive school climate.

Requirements

Successful coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Background that includes a high level of wrestling knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills.
Able to communicate with players, parents, and other coaches.
