About The Position
The Assistant Women's Softball Coach - 2nd Assistant is responsible for all phases of developing and maintaining a successful Women's Softball Program at the College through their support of the Head Women's Softball Coach. This is a part-time seasonal position. This position coaches the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners.
Requirements
- Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of softball is required
- Associates degree required
- Valid driver's license in good standing required
Responsibilities
- Recruitment of potential student-athletes
- Practice preparation
- In and out-of season training
- Game/match day management
- Retention of quality student-athletes
- Ensure the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
- Safe transportation of team members to and from away contests
- Adherence to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCSJ and Athletic Department rules and regulations
- Assist the Head Coach with fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
- Ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Executive Director of Athletics
