About The Position

Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Flag Football Coach, beginning July 2026. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Head Women’s Flag Football Coach.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required
Prior coaching experience in flag football, football, or other sports is required.
Strong knowledge of offensive schemes, player development, and game strategy required.
Ability to work nights, weekends and travel
Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication and organizational skills.
Experience with social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Basic competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) applications is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to candidates with flag football playing or coaching experience, as well as experience coaching women’s sports.

Responsibilities

Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III flag football program.
Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College
Serve as Offensive Coordinator by leading offensive practices, implementing schemes, and developing players, while also coaching position groups through skill development, fundamentals, and the advancement of football IQ.
Assist with practice planning, scouting, film breakdown, game prep, and stats.
Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes, particularly in regards to academics and player development
Help build team culture, leadership, accountability, and SISTERHOOD.
Assist Head Coach with the management of travel, equipment, paperwork, camps, clinics, fundraising, and community service.
Oversee program marketing, branding, and social media presence.
Maintain NCAA, conference, and college compliance while handling additional athletic department duties.
