About The Position

The purpose of the role is to develop and implement structured financial products and solutions to meet the needs of clients and optimize the bank's market exposure and profitability. This role involves developing innovative structured financial products and solutions, assessing pricing and valuation, and collaborating with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders. The Assistant Vice President will advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. They will lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, and coach employees. For individual contributors, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members, identify new directions for assignments, and consult on complex issues. They will also identify ways to mitigate risk, develop new policies/procedures, and take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls. This role requires performing work closely related to other areas, understanding how areas coordinate, and collaborating with business-aligned support areas. It involves complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively, and communicating complex information to influence or convince stakeholders. Requirements

  • Experience within Structuring, Trading, Solutions, Risk Solutions, or other markets-focused environments
  • Ability to analyze, structure, and price complex financial transactions
  • Quantitative expertise through academic studies or professional experience in Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or related analytical disciplines
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience conducting quantitative analysis, back-testing, and risk assessments to support business decisions
  • Communication and presentation skills with the ability to partner effectively with Sales, Trading, and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement structured financial products and solutions to meet the needs of clients and optimize the bank's market exposure and profitability.
  • Develop innovative structured financial products and solutions to address the specific needs of clients, including derivatives, structured notes, and other structured investment products.
  • Conduct risk analysis and management associated with structured products, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
  • Assess pricing and valuation of structured products, including the use of mathematical models and financial instruments, and liaise with trading to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective product implementation and risk mitigation.
  • Advise and influence decision making.
  • Contribute to policy development.
  • Take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.

Benefits

  • Minimum Salary: $125,000
  • Maximum Salary: $175,000
