About The Position

The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement serves as the primary Advancement Services Officer for the Texas A&M University System. Members of the Texas A&M University System have varying levels of expertise within their organizations. The Assistant Vice Chancellor supports members, as needed, in the execution of their fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship plans. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Four years related experience.
  • Leadership and accomplishment in the field of development.
  • Track record of fundraising success, especially in major gift development and solicitations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic, personal integrity and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • This is a security-sensitive position and is restricted to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents only.

Responsibilities

  • Support System members as needed in their fundraising efforts.
  • Assist with donor research.
  • Support System members in the creation and execution of stewardship plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between System members and OGC to support the execution of gift agreements.
  • Advise System members on naming opportunities and policies.
  • Create donor reports for the System.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chancellor and the System Executive Team on external funding from individual donors, foundations and agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
