Assistant Varsity Flag Football Coach - 2026/2027
About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Varsity Flag Football Coach for the 2026-2027 season, which is scheduled to begin in March and conclude in April. This position will support coaching efforts at Propel Braddock Hills High School, Propel Andrew St. High School, and Propel Montour High School. The role involves implementing coaching techniques, understanding the sport's rules and strategies, and potentially leading off-season programs. Coaches are expected to attend PIAA meetings and training, maintain high personal organization, and possess strong communication skills. A commitment to ongoing professional development and the Propel Habits is also required.
Requirements
- Prior flag football or football coaching experience.
- Must possess effective coaching technique and skills.
- Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
- Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
- High level of personal organization and planning.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
- A commitment to the Propel Habits.
- Up-to-date TB Test.
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance.
- Act 114 FBI Clearance.
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level.
- Prior flag football coaching experience.
Responsibilities
