About The Position

The Assistant Underwriter will analyze exposures and experience to accept or reject new business and prepare submissions for pricing.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (Experience can be substituted for a degree on a year by year basis.)
• Proficient mathematical ability, especially decimals and percentages
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions in a high-volume environment
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed for cyclical influxes of work load

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and enter data to evaluate risk profile for prospects.
• Analyze exposures and experience to accept or reject new business.
• Prepare submissions for pricing.
