About The Position

The Athletic Outdoor Facilities Unit is responsible for the administration, management, and maintenance of all Athletic Facilities, including Kenan Stadium, Boshamer Stadium, Dorrance Field, Koman football practice complex, Karen Shelton Stadium, Eddie Smith Field House, Anderson Softball Stadium, Finley Athletic Fields, Chewning Tennis Center, Carmichael Arena, Ranson-Hammrick Cross Country Course, University Lake Boathouse, 220 Finley and 216 Finley, as well as the associated buildings and grounds. These facilities are used by the Athletics Department’s 28 varsity programs, University organizations, and the local community. This position is responsible for all matters relating to natural and synthetic turf grass management, while working in a unit that includes field and grounds maintenance. Works with athletic grounds staff on all projects and inspects completed work to ensure conformance to specifications (ACC, NCAA) and any contract requirements.
