Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–5 years of transportation experience
  • 2–3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and shop operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to travel within the service area

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Location Manager with daily operations and staff supervision
  • Ensure home-to-school routes are covered efficiently and on time
  • Communicate with drivers and dispatch regarding attendance, performance, and daily challenges
  • Monitor driver safety and conduct Injury Prevention (IP) contacts
  • Investigate and resolve parent, school, or client concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper assignment of spare drivers and vehicles to maintain service levels
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of employees
  • Audit and process athletic trip invoices per company guidelines
  • Assist with union-related matters, including grievances (if applicable)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school district partners and internal teams
