About The Position

This is an onsite role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, organized, and looking for a hands-on role where their work directly supports safe, successful construction projects. The role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with tools, takes pride in maintaining equipment, and is comfortable supporting deliveries when needed. It is also a strong entry point into warehouse and logistics operations with room to grow. As part of a small, collaborative warehouse team, the primary focus will be supporting tool maintenance, readiness, and safety, with driving duties incorporated as needed.

Requirements

  • 1+ years working with tools in a tool rental shop, construction tool shop, equipment repair environment, or small-engine service center.
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract.
  • Comfortable identifying tool wear and assisting with basic maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to identify tool wear, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic repairs - handles, cords, blades, filters, switches, and similar components.
  • Comfort with cordless/corded drills, impact drivers, concrete hammers, grinders, pneumatic nailers, generators, air compressors, and plate compactors.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs for short distances (up to 50 feet).
  • Comfortable performing physical work, climbing ladders, and working in varying environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Tool rental, warehouse, or mechanical experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspecting, servicing, and performing minor repairs on construction tools and equipment such as drills, grinders, generators, pressure washers, and compactors.
  • Support basic repairs including replacing cords, handles, blades, filters, and other common wear items.
  • Help complete incoming and outgoing tool inspections to ensure equipment meets Chandos’ safety standards.
  • Clean, test, label, and stage tools so they are job-site ready at all times.
  • Pick, prepare, and organize tools for site requests received via forms or phone calls.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient tool shop and storage areas.
  • Deliver and pick up tools and small equipment to and from job sites as required.
  • Assist with moving tools between warehouse zones and coordinating external servicing or recertifications.
  • Act as a courteous and safety-focused Chandos representative when on the road or at job sites.
