Requirements

• Previous experience working in technical theatre, preferably in a high school or educational setting.
• Proficiency with theatre technology, including lighting consoles, sound systems, sewing machines, and scenic construction techniques.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals.
• Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all participants in the theatrical process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the director to bring theatrical visions to life through technical execution.
• Oversee all technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, set design, construction, and stage management.
• Manage and maintain theatre equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and safe for use.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student crews for various technical roles, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Coordinate with administration, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of theatrical events and performances.
• Compile and submit requisitions for any supplies related to technical aspects of the shows.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal growth among students and staff.
