This is a team of Electronic Technicians that directly supports Production and works with Sustaining Manufacturing Engineering and Test Engineering. Interface directly with Electronic Technicians and Sustaining Engineering to maintain the test process for fabrication of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Requirements

  • Experience in circuit board assembly preferred
  • Interested in completing a 2-year electronics degree, or equivalent combination of education or experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of automated tests
  • Working knowledge of productivity tools, examples may include Microsoft Office and quality management software
  • Ability to use hand/power tools
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professional and respectful communication to others
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail
  • Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
  • The ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotating schedule if needed
  • Minimal lifting and moving of materials
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform test assemblies that require a high degree of difficulty
  • Perform test assemblies with exposed high voltage and current with no safety interlocks
  • Load/Unload and operate burn-in chambers
  • Assist Test Technicians with retest
  • Perform preventative maintenance on test fixture and make minor repairs
  • Complete very basic debug of testers (examples may include: Solder Bridges, Backwards Components, and/or missing parts)
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Complies and follows all company safety policies and procedures
  • Operates test equipment when production is short-staffed
  • Is a mentor for production test operators by providing training and ongoing support
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
