About The Position

Join our collaborative and mission‑driven team as an Assistant Team Leader, where you will play a key role in supporting clinical excellence, staff development, and quality service delivery. This position offers the opportunity to grow as a leader while directly impacting both team performance and client outcomes. As an Assistant Team Leader, you will help guide and support clinical and support staff, promote best practices, and ensure services remain recovery‑focused, trauma‑informed, and culturally responsive. We are seeking a thoughtful, organized, and compassionate professional who values mentorship, accountability, and teamwork while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. In this role, you will assist with clinical supervision, quality assurance, staff onboarding, performance monitoring, and coordination of care. You will work closely with leadership, community partners, and interdisciplinary teams to support effective service delivery, analyze outcomes, address challenges, and contribute to continuous program improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social service‑related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a social services setting
  • Knowledge of DSM, psychotropic medications, and substance use services
  • Strong understanding of case management, rehabilitation methods, and community‑based mental health services
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle for business use
  • Ability to provide effective supervision, mentoring, and staff development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data, monitor outcomes, and support quality improvement initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
  • Must complete required trainings, including Med Tech, First Aid, and CPR, as required

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and coaching to assigned direct reports through regular supervision meetings and field observations
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new team members, including training plans and development support
  • Monitor and review clinical documentation and service notes to ensure quality, medical necessity, and alignment with treatment plans
  • Provide feedback and identify performance improvement strategies during supervision sessions
  • Monitor team performance related to access, efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability
  • Assist with monitoring outcomes, utilization, and treatment effectiveness
  • Accompany staff during field visits to provide feedback and development support
  • Promote service delivery that is recovery‑focused, trauma‑informed, and culturally competent
  • Coordinate care across teams, departments, and external providers to support client needs
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and provide crisis intervention support as needed
  • Assist leadership with scheduling, service planning, and utilization review activities
  • Address critical incidents, grievances, and documentation in accordance with agency policy
  • Monitor training requirements, time records, annual reviews, and professional development needs for assigned staff
  • Participate in agency‑wide meetings, trainings, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Serve as back‑up leader in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor
  • Complete required in‑person client contacts as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership
