About The Position

The Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Psychology position. Requirements

  • Earned Master’s in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution or anticipated prior to starting date.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching online and in-person
  • Commitment to undergraduate education
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Earned Doctorate in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution or anticipated prior to starting date
  • Experience teaching online and in-person quantitative psychology courses (Statistics or Research Methods)

Responsibilities

  • Teach 27 credits of undergraduate courses per academic year in multiple modalities (in-person and online) including sections of undergraduate Statistics, Research Methods, and Introduction to Psychology, as well as additional courses in the Psychology program curriculum within the candidate’s area of expertise.
  • Attend Psychology faculty meetings, serve on departmental committees, engage in professional development, vote on matters concerning curriculum/programming, and mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.
