The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor Nursing. This is a nine-month faculty position for a traditional BSN program. The role requires individuals to teach students to become entry-level nurses who possess a bachelor's degree in nursing. The faculty member's role includes an understanding of the inner functions of a nursing program as they relate to curricula, practice arenas, evaluations, and outcomes. Faculty members facilitate students' achievement of course objectives and prepare students to master skill sets that enable progression throughout the nursing program of study. Faculty members work closely with the course, clinical, and program coordinators to ensure the standards and quality of the nursing curricula are met and maintained.
