About The Position

Emory University's Department of Chemistry is seeking applications for a teaching-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, possess a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate laboratory and lecture courses, and have a keen interest in pedagogy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching first-year undergraduate laboratory courses within the innovative 'Chemistry Unbound' curriculum, which introduces students to experimental practices and evidence-based reasoning. This role also offers opportunities for course development, participation in departmental and university governance, undergraduate student mentoring, and potentially contributing to Emory's summer study abroad program in Siena, Italy. Requirements

Ph.D. in Chemistry.
Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching undergraduate laboratory and lecture courses.
