About The Position

Children of America is hiring an Assistant Teacher to work with a team of educators in a supportive early childhood education environment. The organization serves children ages 6 weeks to 12 years across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp programs. The role interacts daily with children, parents, management, and teaching staff to support a collaborative and positive learning environment. The Assistant Teacher carries out daily lesson plans, helps maintain a safe and structured classroom, communicates with families and colleagues, and uses technology to document and deliver child progress reports. The role encourages professional growth and readiness to develop into a Lead Teacher. Offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check and submission of required state documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Flexible and adaptable in challenging situations.
• Commitment to professional growth.
• Successful completion of a background check and submission of required state documents are conditions of any job offer.
