About The Position

Assistant Teachers at Lake Zurich KinderCare support children's education and development each day. The role involves implementing KinderCare's curriculum in ways that meet each child's needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment for play and learning, and partnering with parents to provide high-quality care and education. Assistant Teachers also work with center staff and leadership to support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals, and build positive relationships with families, colleagues, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners. The position requires working indoors and outdoors and engaging physically with children. The posted pay is $15.65 per hour; Illinois center employees at participating locations receive an additional 15% premium through the Illinois Smart Start Workforce Grant.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or be willing to obtain them.
• Have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• Be able to assume low-level postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children.
• See and hear well enough to keep children safe.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
