About The Position

The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is an equal member of a collaborative teaching team responsible for the care, supervision, and development of a consistent, assigned group of children. This is a group-based role rather than a room-based role; each ECE remains accountable for their cohort across all daily routines, environments, and transitions. The junior program emphasizes predictable rhythms, relationship-based care, guided play, and growing independence through daily routines and self-help skills rather than formal lessons. All ECEs share responsibility for routines, safety and ratios, activity planning, active supervision, developmental documentation, and family communication. Educators work peer-to-peer without lead or assistant designations, coordinating decisions together and involving campus leadership only when required. Group assignments remain stable except for enrollment or age-based transitions.
