Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience (2-1 ratio).
Experience in the classroom.
Teaching experience, particularly with children with Autism.
Proficiency in collaborating with teachers.
Proficiency in overseeing student activities.
Proficiency in providing personalized assistance with assignments.
Assisting with attendance.
Homework collection.
Task assignment.
Engaging with students during lessons, ensuring understanding and explaining concepts to those who need additional support.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Must pass state and federal background checks.
Must pass a drug test.

Nice To Haves

ABA experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Supporting teachers in lesson preparation and student engagement.
Classroom management.
Assisting with behavior management.
Tracking student progress.
Setting up classroom materials to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.
Teaching students Science and Social Studies.
Providing essential support to teachers and facilitating a positive and productive classroom experience.
Collaborating with teachers and overseeing students so they get more hands-on attention and personalized help with assignments.
Helping take attendance.
Assisting with the collection of homework.
Assigning tasks to students.
Walking around the classroom to check for understanding and explaining concepts to students with trouble.
Preparing reports about each student's progress and collaborating with the teacher to create a plan for achieving academic and social benchmarks.
