Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children and families by joining the North Idaho College Head Start team. As an Assistant Teacher in Post Falls, you'll help create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive. Working alongside the Classroom Teacher, you'll support a comprehensive early childhood program that reflects the Head Start mission and provides high-quality services to children and families. In this role, you'll partner with the classroom team to plan and implement engaging learning experiences, foster a safe, healthy, organized, and welcoming classroom environment, and ensure active supervision while supporting the developmental, social, and emotional needs of every child. You'll assist with child screenings, assessments, documentation, and individualized goal setting, build positive relationships with children, families, coworkers, and community partners, and support children with disabilities and daily care routines, including feeding and toileting. You'll also help maintain efficient center operations, participate in professional development, and step into the lead classroom role when needed. We're seeking someone who brings strong interpersonal and customer service skills, values teamwork, and communicates with professionalism and respect. The ideal candidate has a positive approach to early childhood education, health, and family services, is comfortable using common computer applications and data systems, and demonstrates sound judgment, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making. If you're passionate about supporting children and families while representing Head Start with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
