About The Position

Ann Kids Educational Centers is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join their team. Founded by educators, Ann Kids provides a warm, nurturing environment for children and staff, celebrating diversity and multiculturalism. The center has grown to educate over 500 children with more than 100 educators, but maintains a close-knit community feel. Requirements

Previous experience in an early childhood setting is a plus.
CDA Certificate and higher or 9 Credits in ECE (or related field) and higher.
Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
Understanding of child development.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must pass comprehensive background checks and a health screening.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 48.75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Actively engage with children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
Help children with transitions during the day, assist with mealtime and hygiene, and monitor their emotional and developmental well-being.
Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing the curriculum, following daily schedules, conducting small group activities, and keeping necessary records of children’s progress and daily routines.
Maintain supportive two-way communication with parents while respecting confidentiality.
Participate in community events to build strong relationships with families.
Help arrange the classroom according to program goals and philosophy.
Inspect and report damaged or lost materials to the Lead Teacher, and ensure cleanliness and safety of classroom materials.
Participate actively in mandatory meetings and peer reviews.
Maintain the required level of continuous professional development and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.
