About The Position

The YMCA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for their Early Learning program. This role is for an individual passionate about nurturing children, engaging with the community, and creating a fun learning environment. The YMCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the community.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• 2 years (2500 hours) verified childcare experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
