The Goddard School in Hillsborough is looking for assistant teachers who love seeing children succeed and supporting activities and care in a like-minded community! Our School offers a premium educational experience in state-of-the-art facilities, helping every child become a joyful, confident learner ready for success in school and life.

Requirements

Applicants must love supporting children and families of all ages and kinds!
Applicants must have availability to be scheduled to work between 7 am and 6 pm, 35-40 hours per week
Applicants must commit to continued growth and ongoing training in a NAEYC-accredited center
Must be able and excited to participate in all aspects of children's care
High school diploma required
Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
Shows empathy and compassion for young children
Works productively without supervision
Basic understanding of child development
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements

associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment
Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities
Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment
Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
