About The Position
This is a part-time Assistant Teacher position focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play. The role requires bringing warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom daily, with responsibility for the overall supervision and daily class functions for a group of children. Cultivating positive relationships with children, families, teachers, and staff is essential, as is implementing the school curriculum and assessing developmental needs of students.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid TB skin test
- Valid Proof of MMR
- Valid Proof of Covid Vaccine or Approved Exemption
- Valid food handlers permit
- Valid first aid and CPR card
- Child Care Basics (30 Hours Course)
- Initial Certificate or Equivalent (Within 5 Years)
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and play.
- Bring a sense of warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom every day.
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
- Cultivate positive relationships with the children, families, teachers, and staff.
- Implement school curriculum and assess developmental needs of students.
