Assistant Teacher/Floaters/Support Staff
About The Position
Kids 'R' Kids Keller is seeking a caring, dependable, and passionate Assistant Teacher/Floater/Support Staff to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives every day, working with a supportive and fun team in early childhood education. The position involves supporting lead teachers, assisting in various classrooms as needed, interacting with children, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and following center policies. Experience in childcare is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, have strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for working with children. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain it.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work across multiple classrooms
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Experience in childcare, daycare, education, or youth programs is a plus (but not required)
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Support Lead Teachers in implementing engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
- Jump into different classrooms as needed to keep our day running smoothly
- Play, teach, encourage, and interact with children throughout the day
- Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Assist during meals, activities, nap time, and outdoor play
- Build strong, positive connections with students, families, and teammates
- Follow center policies and state licensing requirements to ensure excellence in care
- Support personal care routines, including diapering and potty training when needed
