Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Floater
About The Position
We are looking for an assistant teacher passionate about bringing the best out in kids, connecting to our community and having fun! This role involves finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn, being patient and kind with parents, and cultivating a safe and nurturing environment that encourages the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children. The assistant teacher will adjust curriculum to ensure children meet learning objectives and utilize state and YMCA guidelines for safety and well-being. Requirements
- High school diploma
- Are 21+ and have 2+ years of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or familial capacity
- Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances
Nice To Haves
- Associate/Bachelor degree or college credits from an accredited college or university in childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field preferred
