Assistant Swim Team Coach

About The Position
The Assistant Swim Team Coach will attend regular practices and YMCA dual meets as scheduled by the head coach. This role involves assisting the Head Coach in planning swim meet and other team activities, and performing other duties as directed by the Head Coach. The position requires approximately 6-10 hours per week.
Requirements
- Background and knowledge in competitive aquatics
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to work with and motivate swimmers at practices and meets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Head Coach, swimmers, parents and YMCA staff
- Current YMCA v6 lifeguard, BLS, BFA, Emergency Oxygen Administration, other certifications as required.
Responsibilities
- Attend regular practices as scheduled by head coach.
- Attend YMCA dual meets as needed.
- Assist Head Coach in planning swim meet and other team activities.
- Other duties as directed by the Head Coach.
