The Assistant Barracudas Swim Instructor is responsible for providing instruction, coaching, supervision, and mentorship to student-athletes while supporting the culture, safety, and daily operations of the Berkeley Barracudas Swim program. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children, understand athlete development, communicate well with families and colleagues, and be willing to learn, and grow within an established coaching structure. The coach should understand the developmental needs of young swimmers and help foster a safe, supportive, challenging, and enjoyable environment for athletes of all levels. This role combines three related areas of responsibility: coaching and instruction for club swimmers, support for swim meets and team administration, and shared responsibility for maintaining safe, ready-to-use pool facilities. Specific assignments may vary by season. Responsibilities include practices, meets, lessons, communications, and events connected to the program, with expectations coordinated by Barracudas program leadership.
