About The Position

Are you interested in learning the art of sushi and working in a fun, fast-paced kitchen? We’re looking for a motivated Sushi Chef Assistant to join our team—no prior sushi experience required! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on training, learn valuable culinary skills, and grow within the restaurant industry.

Requirements

• No sushi experience needed, training will be provided
• Kitchen experience is preferred
• Interest in food, cooking, or learning new skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
• Nights and Weekends are required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable using kitchen tools, such as knives and mandolins

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing sushi rolls, nigiri, and other menu items
• Learn how to properly handle and prepare fresh ingredients
• Help with basic food prep like cutting vegetables and portioning fish
• Keep the kitchen and sushi station clean, organized, and stocked
• Follow food safety and cleanliness standards
• Work alongside experienced sushi chef and learn new skills every day
• Support the team to ensure smooth and timely service
