About The Position

As an Assistant Supervisor, you'll help lead a team dedicated to supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and other neurological conditions as they build independence in the community. In this role, you'll balance hands-on consumer support with leadership responsibilities, including staff guidance, scheduling, medical coordination, and program oversight. Working alongside the Residential Supervisor, you'll help ensure consumers receive exceptional, person-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a medical or related field
  • Three years of experience in healthcare, human services, or a related setting
  • Two years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Two years of experience supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring staff

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day support for Independent Living Instructors and Lead Independent Living Instructors.
  • Serve as the team leader when the Residential Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Create and maintain weekly Community Living Program (CLP) service schedules based on consumer needs and staff availability.
  • Coordinate consumer medical appointments and assist with medication-related documentation and prescription management.
  • Maintain accurate health, medical, and program documentation, including Medication Administration Records (MARs), physician orders, emergency information, and consumer records.
  • Assist with new consumer intake documentation and ensure information is accurate and distributed to the appropriate team members.
  • Collect and organize data for consumer reviews and outcome reporting.
  • Provide direct support using individualized medical, therapeutic, behavioral, and person-centered support plans.
  • Build positive relationships while promoting independence, community involvement, and quality of life.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
