Provide leadership support to the Transit Supervisor, Demand Response. This position offers a pay rate of $18.35 - $18.85/hr, with competitive periodic raises. The role is crucial for campus customers and requires the successful candidate to be available to work on campus. The position involves supporting SafeRide operations, maintaining vehicle and equipment inventory, coordinating and enforcing regulations, documenting personnel performance, training new drivers/dispatchers, and responding to vehicle and passenger incidents. Supplemental functions include assisting with other Demand Response areas, performing backup dispatching and driving, maintaining data, and assisting with community outreach. The work location is on campus, and the scheduling requires availability for SafeRide shifts from Thursday to Monday, primarily in the late afternoon and nights. Availability during summer months is also required. Total hours range from 15-19 per week, with potential for extra hours as a driver/dispatcher for students.
