About The Position

A growing general contractor specializing in multifamily housing, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team onsite in Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA. This role supports the successful execution of a 100-unit mid-rise project, offering hands-on field experience and a clear path toward Superintendent-level growth.

Requirements

5+ years of construction experience, preferably in multifamily projects
Experience supporting mid-rise, podium, or 5-over-1 construction
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field coordination
Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
Experience with construction management software (Procore preferred)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work full-time onsite in Los Angeles

Nice To Haves

Experience working on projects of similar size and scale (100+ units)
Familiarity with Los Angeles building codes and inspection processes
OSHA certification or formal safety training
Ambition to grow into a Superintendent role

Responsibilities

Support daily onsite construction activities alongside the Lead Superintendent
Coordinate subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project schedule and milestones
Track jobsite productivity and help maintain efficient workflows
Assist in managing project schedule, including deliveries, inspections, and trade sequencing
Identify potential delays and communicate issues early to the project team
Conduct site walks to verify work meets plans, specifications, and code requirements
Assist with punch list tracking and closeout activities
Promote and enforce jobsite safety standards and compliance
Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-run jobsite
Track subcontractor manpower and provide daily field updates
