About The Position

The Assistant Superintendent will assist in planning and executing daily maintenance tasks for the golf course, including mowing, fertilizing, and pest control. This role involves coordinating and supervising groundskeeping staff, managing the irrigation system, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of golf course equipment. The Assistant Superintendent will also contribute to landscape management, ensure safety compliance, maintain accurate records, and interact with golfers to address concerns about course conditions.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass management and irrigation systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency in maintenance software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, fertilizing, and pest control.
• Coordinate and supervise groundskeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Monitor and manage the irrigation system to ensure optimal water usage and turf health.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and machinery.
• Assist in the design and maintenance of landscaping around the course, including trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical applications, and equipment servicing.
• Interact with golfers and address any concerns or issues related to course conditions.
