Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial/industrial construction
  • Familiarity with project scheduling and construction documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMiC or Viewpoint a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A detail-oriented mindset and collaborative spirit
  • Lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Navigate construction sites with rough terrain walking long distances
  • Work outdoors in varying weather and noisy environments
  • Sit or work at a computer for extended periods
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, squatting, kneeling and driving
  • Communicate clearly with team members and external partners to exchange accurate information

Responsibilities

  • Support Superintendents in all phases—from pre-construction through closeout
  • Assist with schedule development and updating using MS Project
  • Help manage subcontractor bids, prequalifications, and scopes
  • Coordinate permits and compliance with bond and insurance requirements
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and support jobsite setup activities
  • Support document reviews, shop drawing approvals, and specification compliance
  • Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
  • Participate in regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy
  • Maintain project documentation using construction management software
  • Help manage the material delivery schedule and submittal approval timelines
  • Assist with project closeout, punch list coordination, and warranty documentation
  • Attend weekly owner and subcontractor meetings—take minutes and follow up on action items
  • Communicate proactively with field teams, clients, and vendors
  • Build positive relationships with project stakeholders through professionalism and trust
  • Act as a problem-solver alongside PMs, Superintendents, and Engineers
