About The Position

Michels Road & Stone, Inc. constructs roads, airports, large site developments, and shoreline protection projects, emphasizing excellence in their large-scale operations. As an Assistant Superintendent – Civil, the role focuses on mass excavation, building excavation, underground utilities, paving, and hardscape scopes. Key responsibilities include managing large complex projects or multiple medium-sized projects (approximately $10M or greater). The position involves planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to ensure goals are met within prescribed timeframes and funding parameters, either personally or through subordinate supervisors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and anticipate and meet customer needs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
Experience with Primavera P6, HCSS, B2W, and Microsoft Project
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment
Willingness to travel 75%
