Assistant Superintendent
About The Position
Maple Reinders is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the Duffin Creek WPCP project in Pickering, Ontario. The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in site management across all project phases, including coordinating staff, materials, and equipment. This role involves assisting in the coordination and direction of subcontractors, ensuring clear communication of contracts and scope of work, and aiding in the development and execution of project work plans to maintain project timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will have previous experience directing construction teams, trades, and hourly employees, and must be flexible to travel or stay near project sites as needed.
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of experience assisting the supervision of Civil, industrial, environmental or ICI construction projects with a General Contractor.
- Post-secondary education, CET or equivalent.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project).
- Willingness to travel as required.

- Previous experience in providing direction to construction teams, trades and hourly employees.
- Flexibility to travel or stay close to the site.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating, controlling, and directing the work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
- Understand contracts and scope of work to ensure the scope of work is clearly communicated to trades.
- Assist in developing and executing project work plans aimed at keeping projects on track and on budget.
- Oversee projects that vary in size and scope.
- Provide direction to construction teams, trades, and hourly employees.
