About The Position

Conley Resort & Golf / Suncrest Golf and Grille is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will direct and participate in the maintenance of all golf course areas, supervise the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment, and perform related duties. The role may involve acting in the Superintendent's capacity during their absence. The position requires a strong motivation to align with the superintendent to achieve high standards and team goals, and involves assisting in personnel management, evaluation, employee safety, and discipline.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of golf course maintenance and cultural practices
• Working knowledge of proper use of various fertilizers and pest control methods and materials
• Working knowledge of drainage control methods
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems, including wells, pumps and automatic controls
• Proficiency in computer use, knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of resources
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator, or ability to obtain in a swift manner
• 2 or 4-year turf degree/related field or experience as an assistant
• PA Pesticide License: Turfgrass (posses/obtain within 60 days of employment)
• Associate degree (Required)
• 3 years of experience in golf course grounds or asst supt (Required)
