About The Position

The Assistant Superintendent at Skanska supports on-site field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and profitably. Reporting to the Superintendent, this role requires regular on-site presence to supervise the labor force, enforce Skanska’s Safety and Health Management Program, conduct quality inspections, and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors. The position emphasizes leadership, organization, time management, and client-facing communication.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in construction and safety/quality-control administration.
Leadership, organization, time-management, and client-facing communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience assisting with subcontractor oversight, scheduling, site logistics, and change-order tracking.
Experience working with plans and specifications.
Procore certification.
CMIT certification.
Familiarity with electrical construction practices.
Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM 360, Prolog, Primavera P6, and JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

Supervise field crews in day-to-day operations.
Inspect subcontractor work for compliance with contract documents.
Develop and maintain site logistics plans and short-term schedules.
Monitor labor and material costs.
Prepare superintendent daily reports.
Participate in project meetings.
Review trade contractor payment applications with project leadership.
Track change orders and tickets.
Mentor team members and support an injury-free work environment.
Enforce Skanska’s Safety and Health Management Program.
Conduct quality inspections and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
