Responsibilities
- Supervising and evaluating the Child Study Team, Student Assistance Counselors, School Counselors, and School Nurses.
- Overseeing all Special Education Programs and Related Services, ensuring all State and Federal legal requirements are met.
- Leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of research-based, innovative, supportive, and challenging special education programs, student support services, and nursing services for students in Grades PreK-8.
- Recommending resources and supports to the Superintendent and Board of Education to enhance special education programming, school counseling curricula, and health services.
- Supervising and evaluating building principals on district and school-level activities, including special education program effectiveness, parent/community engagement, and student achievement.
- Serving as an active member of the Superintendent's Central Office Cabinet.
- Collaborating closely with district and school administrators to promote inclusive learning environments for all students.
