The Superintendent Assistant supports the Project Superintendent in the coordination, supervision, and execution of concrete construction projects. This role assists in overseeing field crews, tracking progress, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring that project deadlines and specifications are met. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related engineering degree.
  • One to two years of work experience successfully supporting similar key responsibilities meeting and exceeding performance expectations or successful completion of Ceco Trainee Program.
  • Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project and Outlook).
  • Knowledgeable of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to travel and work for extended period of time on projects outside of office area.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to managing daily construction work activities and works alongside field workforce as assigned.
  • Ability to quickly learn and assist in; vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of vertical concrete, distinguishing between different types of material and equipment.
  • Manages the project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project, and adapts schedules and work tasks accordingly.
  • Assists in managing the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promotes their efficient use.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
