About The Position

The Assistant Studio Manager is the backbone of the studio, ensuring seamless operations and strict accountability across all areas of the business. They manage multiple platforms to stay organized and efficient, with a core focus on scheduling Team Members to meet business needs, conducting weekly inventory counts, processing monthly purchase orders, and maintaining rigorous oversight of retail and dry goods. In this role, the Assistant Studio Manager spends time at the front desk, engaging with clients and modeling service excellence. They also conduct bi-weekly touchbases with direct reports, reviewing scorecards, attendance, and overall performance. They ensure the studio runs smoothly behind the scenes, so the Studio Manager can focus on driving growth and hospitality at the front of the business. This role requires someone who thrives on structure, precision, and follow-through. Individuals who are not detail-oriented, task-driven, and committed to accountability will not succeed in this position.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality (restaurant, retail, hotel, salon/spa, or similar) with a proven track record of delivering superior customer service
  • Passion for hospitality and people leadership, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Experience with inventory management, scheduling, and administrative tasks to support smooth studio operations
  • Strong customer experience focus, ensuring every client interaction reflects Glowbar’s standards
  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - must have weekend, holiday, and some early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability
  • Full-time requires 5 days of open availability, including both weekend days
  • Forward-thinking problem solver who leads with empathy and professionalism
  • Enthusiasm for beauty, skincare, and continuous growth in a fast-paced, service-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of salon/spa operations, standards, and compliance procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the front desk for a minimum of three full shifts per week, leading by example and staying connected to the client experience
  • Directly lead and develop the Studio Guide team, serving as their manager, mentor, and biggest champion
  • Step up as Manager on Duty whenever the Studio Manager is out, keeping the team grounded and the experience seamless
  • Be a true systems expert - knowing every tool, process, and platform inside and out
  • Drive membership sales and inspire your team to do the same
  • Build the monthly schedule and stay ahead of request-offs and unassigned shifts to protect the business
  • Conduct a weekly cycle count to keep inventory sharp and accurate
  • Run a daily schedule audit to keep operations optimized and the studio running at full potential
  • Conduct a monthly in-studio facilities audit and manage all facilities tickets
  • Be the voice of the studio alongside your team, managing all client communication via phone, email, and text with warmth and professionalism
  • Keep the studio spotless and client-ready including owning laundry, towel management, and overall cleanliness
