The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist in the development and delivery of comprehensive sport performance programs for Rice University's NCAA Division I student-athletes. Sport assignments will be determined based on departmental needs and the successful candidate's experience and strengths. Reporting to the Director of Olympic Sports Performance and Strength Training, the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will design, implement, supervise, and evaluate evidence-based strength and conditioning programs while supporting the mission and philosophy of Rice University Athletics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with assigned coaching staffs, athletic trainers, sports medicine personnel, sports nutrition staff, sports science staff, and other members of the performance team to support student-athlete development and performance. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will directly support the performance objectives and strength and conditioning goals established for their assigned teams while maintaining alignment with departmental standards and best practices. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong coaching ability, program design skills, communication, organization, data literacy, accountability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
