The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is directly responsible for the strength and conditioning of assigned teams. This role involves assessing and testing individual athletes, understanding the demands of their sports, and evaluating the needs of each assigned team, including different position or event groups. The coach will design and implement appropriate training programs to reduce injury likelihood, improve strength, and increase athletic ability. Adherence to all institution, athletic department, conference, and NCAA rules is required. The position also requires effective communication skills to work collaboratively within the S&C department to improve weight room processes, practices, and policies, and to work effectively with sports coaches and athletic trainers. Administrative duties, such as internship oversight, fundraising, and record keeping, are also part of the role, along with other duties assigned by the Head S&C Coach. This position reports to the Head S&C Coach and the Football S&C Coach.
